Which activities make you lose track of time?
For me, it’s anything that I pour passion into:
- Holding hands
- Kissing
- Staring at the horizon over the ocean
- Making love
- Drawing
- Singing Karaoke
- Sleeping
- Eating
- Thinking
- Feeling
- Speaking (I don’t talk passionately; when I talk, it’s lackluster and usually to get from point A to point B on a “time-based” path of travel. When I speak with someone, I am engaged and hanging on every word. All the time. It is an honor to speak with and listen to anyone who listens and speaks with me back.)
- Playing video games
- Writing stories
- Listening to music
- Learning something new
- Making plans
- Reflecting
- Driving
- Meditating (yes, I do that passionately as well – just kind of happens)
- I also do nothing passionately.
I lose track of time just by living tbh. I hope it’s the same for you.
If not, why?
What makes the time drag on?
Whose face(s) do you see when that happens?
Is it a parent, a teacher, a friend, a sibling, a bully, a relative, a coworker, a tv persona, an animal, or anything like that?
I have daily introspections and reflections and find that they keep me present with myself.
Being present with myself allows me to be honest with my feelings and in turn allows me to be more mindful of other people, and animals.
Hope this post does something for you.
